DIALYSIS ACCESS
Dialysis Access
End stage kidney failure is a common condition in our population.
This results in accumulation of toxins which normally should be in the excreted through the kidneys.
The accumulations of these toxins leads to fluid build up around the lungs, swelling of the body, fatigue, itching, confusion, increase occurrence of infections in the body among other symptoms.
In order to get rid of these toxins, we place catheters to one of the major veins in the body or we place in a fistula in the arm for the purpose of dialysis.
Aside from connecting veins to artery directly we can also use a graft to connect the vein to the artery for the purpose of dialysis.
Part of our specialty is putting in these catheters or creation of these fistulas so you can comfortably get your dialysis.
